Meeting between the Libyan Oil Joint Company and COMET Group to Discuss Cooperation

On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, a meeting was held between the Libyan Oil Joint Company and the COMET Group, which specializes in metal forming and the distribution of semi-trailers and equipment used on tankers.

During the meeting, COMET Group presented a visual presentation showcasing its extensive experience spanning half a century in Africa in the fields of metal industries and trailers. COMET Group has a wide sales network covering several African countries, including Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Ghana, and Guinea.

The two parties discussed ways of cooperation between the two companies, focusing on how to leverage COMET Group’s capabilities to support the projects of the Libyan Oil Joint Company and improve its operational and field operations. An invitation was also extended to the Libyan Oil Joint Company to visit COMET Group’s headquarters in Tunisia to observe the manufacturing processes and trailers firsthand.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Board, the General Manager, the Deputy General Manager, the Directors of Technical, Operations, and Field Departments, and a representative from the Contributions Department of the Libya Africa Investment Portfolio from the Libyan Oil Joint Company.

Representing COMET Group were the Chairman of the Board and several relevant department officials.

Successful Auction Session for Consumed Machinery and Operational Waste

Committee (13) for the year 2024 concluded the auction session for consumed machinery and operational waste at the company’s General Administration conference hall on the afternoon of Sunday, 07-04-2024. The session was a complete success. Thanks are extended to the Board of Directors and all employees who contributed to the success of this session.

Libya Oil is participating for the first time in the opening of the 8th Petro Africa International Exhibition in Tripoli, Libya

The event, which started today, is being held at the Tripoli International Fairgrounds and will run until October 19th1.

The opening ceremony was attended by notable figures including the Minister of Oil, Mohamed Aoun, the Minister of Economy, Mohamed Al-Huwaij, the Maltese Ambassador, the President of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, and the Chairman of the Exhibitions Committee1.

During their visit to the joint pavilion of Libya Oil and Ola Energy, they were welcomed by Mustafa Abufnas, Chairman of the Libya Africa Investment Portfolio, Khalifa Al-Shaibani, Chairman of Libya Oil, and Mahdi Al-Jadi, a board member of Libya Oil. Also present were Dr. Mohamed Abukhreis, General Manager of Libya Oil, and Abdulraouf Al-Jahani, Representative Office Manager of Ola Energy Holding in Tripoli1.

Khalifa Al-Shaibani provided a detailed explanation of the latest products and services offered to consumers. Visitors can explore these offerings at the company’s booth in Hall 58 at the Tripoli International Fairgrounds from tomorrow until October 19th1.

Completion of Training Course for Safety, Health, and Environmental Protection Management

The training course for the employees of the Safety, Health, and Environmental Protection Management has concluded. The course prepared participants for evacuation procedures, the use of fire extinguishers, and professional safety. The training lasted for 15 days, during which the trainees successfully completed both practical and theoretical training.
