Meeting to Enhance Cooperation Between Libya Oil Joint Venture and Zawiya Oil Refining Company

As part of efforts to advance the company and explore multiple income sources, the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Khalifa Al-Shaibani, held a meeting with the management committee of Zawiya Oil Refining Company. The meeting was attended by several department managers from Zawiya Oil Refining Company, along with the Acting General Manager, Mr. Emad Al-Muqri, the Western Region Manager, Mr. Lotfi Garouda, and the Operations Manager, Mr. Jamal Abu Zaid.

The purpose of the visit was to exchange expertise in the fields of bitumen and oil manufacturing, introduce Libya Oil Joint Venture and its owners, and discuss aspirations to enter the fields of oil manufacturing and supply, such as OLA Energy oils and Mobil oils. Additionally, the aim was to create cooperation opportunities to start oil manufacturing at Zawiya’s factories, which are witnessing significant development in both Zawiya and Benghazi.

An agreement was reached to prepare a joint work plan through technical teams from both parties. The meeting, held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, was warmly welcomed by Mr. Emad Bin Koura, Chairman of the Management Committee of Zawiya Oil Refining Company, and its Board of Directors at the company’s headquarters in Zawiya.

During the visit, the delegation also toured the company’s office in Zawiya and visited a plot of land allocated by the Public Property Authority for the company’s benefit, which is strategically located next to the Zawiya refinery. They also visited the company’s warehouses and issued instructions to propose necessary maintenance for the Zawiya office building and the truck workshop, integrating them into the company’s warehouses.
