Handover Ceremony for the General Manager Position at Libya Oil Joint Venture

Under the sponsorship and supervision of Mr. Khalifa Al-Shaibani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Libya Oil Joint Venture, the handover ceremony for the General Manager position was completed today, Sunday, 18-08-2024, at his office located at the General Administration headquarters in the capital, Tripoli. The ceremony marked the transition of duties from Dr. Mohamed Abukhreis, who has led the company since 2019, to Dr. Aqeel Abubakr Ghalboun, the new General Manager appointed by the company’s Board of Directors. The meeting was characterized by a spirit of responsibility, adherence to the company’s regulations and laws, respect for the company’s long history, and appreciation for the significant efforts made by the company’s management and employees who work tirelessly to fulfill their duties, improve performance rates, increase resources, meet obligations, and protect the rights of its owners, “Libya Africa Investment Portfolio and OLA Energy Group.”

After the signing of the handover documents, a meeting was held with the company’s department and office managers, who expressed their readiness to cooperate with the new General Manager and to continue efforts to advance the company’s mission, which began since its establishment in 2007.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors extended his sincere thanks to Dr. Mohamed Abukhreis for his efforts during his tenure as General Manager, a period marked by commitment and good management despite the circumstances and challenges. He was a model of cooperation with the Board of Directors to improve performance levels and strive to preserve the company’s assets and resources.

The meeting concluded with an agreement among all to cooperate and continue exerting maximum efforts to ensure the company achieves its deserved status and fulfills its national duties to the fullest.
