General Manager of Libya Oil Joint Company Holds Meeting to Discuss Operational Challenges and Debt Collection Mechanisms in Regions
Tripoli, Libya – Dr. Aqeel Abu Bakr Ghalboun, General Manager of Libya Oil Joint Company, held an important meeting today, Sunday, October 13, 2024, with regional office managers from Tripoli, Zawiya, Jabal Al-Arabi, the Central Region, and the Southern Region, in the presence of the company’s Planning and Finance Directors.
The meeting focused on discussing the operational challenges facing these regions, with an emphasis on the issue of resource shortages and the reduced quantities of fuel received, which directly impact the company’s daily operations.
Additionally, the meeting highlighted the issue of accumulated debts owed by company-owned and operated stations since its establishment in 2007, exploring the reasons behind these debts and proposing effective mechanisms for their collection.
Furthermore, the performance of the supporting activities that aid the company’s main operations was evaluated, and ways to improve these activities to enhance operational efficiency and achieve mutual benefits were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to prepare a comprehensive report that includes the recommendations and points raised, with a plan to hold regular meetings to follow up on the implementation of the agreed-upon actions.
